Job Summary:

Capital School is seeking a professional Social Media Content Developer and Events Management Officer to join the team and support the school’s communications and event operations through effective content creation, community engagement, and coordination. The role will act as a key liaison between school leadership, staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders — ensuring a strong and consistent school presence both online and during in-person events. This position plays a vital role in promoting the school’s image, values, and achievements through compelling social media content and well-organized school events.

Key Responsibilities:

A. School Social Media Management

1. Content Creation & Strategy

  • Develop and manage the school’s social media content calendar (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
  • Working closely with the school's photographers and video's team members
  • Create engaging posts, photos, videos, and stories that highlight school activities, events, student achievements, and announcements.
  • Collaborate with teachers, students, and administrators to gather content that reflects school life and values.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the school’s communication policy and maintains a positive image.

2. Community Engagement

  • Manage the school’s online presence and promptly respond to messages, comments, and inquiries.
  • Engage with parents, alumni, and the community to build a supportive and connected online audience.
  • Promote key school initiatives such as enrollment drives, community service programs, and academic campaigns.

3. Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track audience growth and engagement using analytics tools.
  • Prepare monthly reports on social media performance and suggest improvements.
  • Stay updated on digital communication trends relevant to education.

 

B. School Events Management

1. Event Planning and Coordination

  • Plan, organize, and manage school events such as:
    § Assemblies and graduations
    § Open houses and parent-teacher conferences
    § Academic fairs, talent shows, sports events, and recognition ceremonies
    § Community outreach and charity events
    § After school activities which shall include sports, Music, Art, drama and other activities
    § Working closely with school's staff members
  • Develop event proposals, budgets, and logistics plans in coordination with the school administration.
  • Coordinate with vendors, staff, and volunteers to ensure smooth operations.

2. Promotion and Communication

  • Create promotional materials and campaigns to boost participation and awareness of school events.
  • Manage event publicity through posters, announcements, newsletters, and social media platforms.
  • Document and post highlights from school events for publication on school media channels.

3. Execution and Evaluation

  • Oversee event setup, scheduling, and coordination on the day of the event.
  • Ensure that all events reflect the school’s mission, culture, and values.
  • Collect feedback from attendees, staff, and students to improve future events.
  • Working with the accounts department in determining cost, budget and all other financial details.
  • Obtaining approvals from the Executive Board for the events plans.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Education, or Public Relations (or related field).
  • Experience in social media management and event coordination, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Proficient in tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or Meta Business Suite.
  • Strong photography, video editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and parents.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and capable of meeting deadlines.
