Primary Excellence

Primary Curriculum

At Capital School Bahrain, our Primary curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and nurture a genuine love of learning. Based on the English National Curriculum and enriched to reflect our international context, it provides a strong academic foundation while supporting every child’s personal growth.

Broad and Balanced

Our curriculum is broad and enriched, providing pupils with a wide range of subjects and meaningful enrichment opportunities. These experiences enhance learning, develop cultural and personal understanding, and ensure all pupils benefit from a well-rounded education.

Ambitious

Our curriculum is ambitious, with high expectations for all pupils. Carefully chosen content challenges pupils to think deeply, develop secure knowledge and make strong progress regardless of starting point.

Carefully Sequenced

Learning is carefully sequenced so that knowledge and skills build progressively over time. Prior to learning is revisited and extended to ensure understanding is secure and cumulative.

Inclusive by Design

Inclusion is built into curriculum planning from the outset. Teaching is adapted so that all pupils can access and succeed in the same ambitious curriculum.

Applied Learning

Pupils regularly apply their knowledge and skills in purposeful tasks. This supports deeper understanding through explanation, reasoning and problem- solving rather than simple completion.

Coherent Curriculum

Our curriculum is coherent and well organised, with clear links within and across subjects. This helps pupils make sense of their learning and understand how ideas connect.
